Objective: Infiltrate the gold mine and rescue the trapped miners.
- Enter the Mine: The entrance will be guarded. Take out the sentries quietly if possible, or engage in a direct firefight.
- Navigate the Tunnels: The mine is a maze of dark tunnels. Use your mini-map to navigate. Enemies will be lurking around corners and in alcoves.
- Watch for Explosives: Some areas will have unstable support beams or explosive crates. Use caution and shoot explosives from a distance.
- Rescue Miners: You'll find groups of trapped miners. Eliminate their captors, and they will run to safety. You may need to interact with a lever or switch to free them.
- Mine Cart Chase: At one point, you'll be on a mine cart, engaging in a shooting sequence. Aim for enemies on other carts or on the tracks.
- Confront the Foreman: The mine foreman, a mini-boss, will be guarding the final group of miners.
- Boss Strategy: The foreman is heavily armored and wields a powerful shotgun. Keep your distance, use Dead Eye to target his head, and utilize the mine's pillars for cover. He's slow, so circle strafing can be effective.
Rescuing the miners and defeating the foreman will reveal more about the overarching plot.
