The UI in Resident Evil is minimalist but provides all necessary information. In the bottom right corner of the screen, you'll see your character's health status, indicated by a color-coded bar or text: FINE (green), CAUTION (yellow), DANGER (orange), and POISON (purple). Pay close attention to this as it dictates your survival. When you open your inventory, you'll see a grid of slots for items, your equipped weapon, and your current ammunition count. Remember, inventory space is extremely limited, forcing difficult decisions about what to carry. The map, accessible from the inventory, shows areas you've explored and locked doors, which is invaluable for navigation and puzzle-solving. Always check your map frequently.
