Welcome to the final stretch, S.T.A.R.S. member! The Underground Laboratory is a maze of biohazards and Umbrella's darkest secrets. Stay sharp, conserve your ammunition, and prepare for some of the game's toughest challenges.

Entering the Lab

After descending the elevator from the Guardhouse, you'll find yourself in a sterile corridor. Proceed forward and through the double doors. You're now in the main hub of the lab.

  • First Room: Immediately to your right, you'll see a door leading to a small office. Inside, you'll find some crucial documents and potentially a save point (depending on your character and difficulty).
  • Item Acquisition: In this office, locate the MO Disk (Laboratory). This is vital for accessing later areas. Also, grab any Ink Ribbons you find – saving is paramount here.

Navigating the Main Corridor

Exit the office and continue down the main corridor. Be wary, as this area often introduces new, more resilient enemies. Hunters are a common threat here; aim for their heads or use powerful weapons like the Shotgun.

  • Left Door: Take the first door on your left. This leads to a small storage room.
  • Item Acquisition: Inside the storage room, you'll typically find Shotgun Shells or Magnum Rounds. Every bullet counts!
  • Right Door (Power Room): Further down the main corridor, you'll find a door on your right. This is the Power Room.
  • Puzzle Solution: Inside the Power Room, you'll need to activate the power. Interact with the control panel. The exact sequence can vary slightly, but generally involves flipping a series of switches. Pay attention to any flickering lights or sounds indicating success.

The B2 Level and Beyond

Once power is restored, return to the main corridor and proceed to the far end. You'll find another elevator. Take it down to B2.

  • B2 Corridor: Upon exiting the elevator, you'll be in another corridor. Expect more Hunters or even the dreaded Chimera in some playthroughs.
  • Chemical Storage: Follow the corridor around to a door leading to the Chemical Storage room.
  • Item Acquisition: Here, you'll find the Fuel Supply Capsule. This is essential for creating the V-ACT antidote later. You might also find some First Aid Sprays.
  • MO Disk Reader: Continue through B2 until you locate the room with the MO Disk Reader. Insert the MO Disk (Laboratory) you found earlier. This will unlock further access.

The Tyrant's Lair

After using the MO Disk, new pathways will open up, leading you deeper into the lab. You're getting close to the final confrontation.

  • Final Preparations: Before proceeding to the very end, ensure you have your strongest weapons equipped (Magnum, Grenade Launcher with Flame Rounds), plenty of healing items, and any remaining defensive items.
  • Tyrant Encounter: You will eventually reach a large, circular platform or an area that triggers the final boss fight against the Tyrant.
  • Strategy:
    • Phase 1: The Tyrant is fast and hits hard. Keep your distance and unload your most powerful ammunition. Aim for its chest.
    • Phase 2 (Rocket Launcher): After a certain amount of damage, a specific event will occur (often involving a character dropping a Rocket Launcher). Grab the Rocket Launcher immediately!
    • Final Blow: Fire the Rocket Launcher at the Tyrant. One direct hit is usually enough to end the fight.

Congratulations, you've defeated the Tyrant! Now, make your escape. The lab is collapsing, so don't linger. Follow the on-screen prompts or the most obvious exit route to reach the helipad and complete the game.
