• Lion Medal: Found in the Library on the second floor, accessible via the Main Hall stairs.
• Eagle Medal: Located in the S.T.A.R.S. Office on the second floor, requiring the Spade Key to access.

Step-by-Step Guide: Obtaining Each Medal

1. The Unicorn Medal (Claire's Path)

For Claire, the Unicorn Medal is the very first medal you'll acquire, often before you even fully understand its purpose. It's found in the Main Hall, directly to the left of the grand staircase (when facing it from the entrance). You'll encounter a statue depicting a unicorn. To obtain the medal, you must solve a simple puzzle:

• Location: Main Hall, RPD 1F.
• Puzzle: Interact with the Unicorn Statue. You will need to input a specific sequence of symbols. For Claire's A/1st Run, the solution is Fish, Scorpion, Pot. For Claire's B/2nd Run, the solution is Child, Scales, Snake.
• Reward: Upon successful input, the Unicorn Statue will open, revealing the Unicorn Medal.
• Action: Pick up the Unicorn Medal. You can immediately insert it into the Goddess Statue if you wish, or hold onto it until you have all three.

Common Pitfall: pick up the medal after solving the puzzle! It's easy to get distracted by the next objective.

2. The Lion Medal

The Lion Medal requires you to venture further into the RPD's upper floors. This medal is relatively straightforward to acquire once you reach its location.

• Location: Library, RPD 2F.
• Prerequisites: None beyond gaining access to the 2nd floor of the Main Hall.
• Directions:
  1. From the Goddess Statue in the Main Hall, ascend the grand staircase to the 2nd floor.
  2. Turn right at the top of the stairs and proceed through the door leading to the Waiting Room.
  3. Pass through the Waiting Room and continue straight through the next door into the Library.
  4. Once inside the Library, head to the far side of the room. You'll see a small statue on a pedestal.
• Puzzle: Interact with the Lion Statue. For Claire's A/1st Run, the solution is Lion, Leaf, Bird. For Claire's B/2nd Run, the solution is Crown, Torch, Bird.
• Reward: The Lion Statue will open, yielding the Lion Medal.
• Action: Collect the Lion Medal.

Strategy Tip: The Library often contains a few Zombies. Be prepared to either dispatch them or quickly run past to the statue. Conserving ammunition is crucial in the early game.

3. The Eagle Medal

The Eagle Medal is the most challenging of the three to acquire early on, as it requires a specific key to access its location. For Claire, this key is the Spade Key.

• Location: S.T.A.R.S. Office, RPD 2F.
• Prerequisites: You must have the Spade Key.
• How to get the Spade Key (Claire):
  1. From the Main Hall, head through the door on the west side of the 1st floor (the door opposite the Reception Desk).
  2. Proceed down the hallway past the Dark Room and into the Operations Room.
  3. The Spade Key is located on a desk in the Operations Room. It's hard to miss.
  4. Important: After picking up the Spade Key, you'll encounter a Licker in the hallway leading back to the Main Hall. Be prepared for a fight or a quick escape!
• Directions to the S.T.A.R.S. Office:
  1. With the Spade Key in hand, return to the Main Hall.
  2. Ascend the grand staircase to the 2nd floor.
  3. Turn left at the top of the stairs.
  4. Use the Spade Key on the door directly in front of you (the one with the "No Entry" sign). This leads to the West Office hallway.
  5. Follow the hallway around. The S.T.A.R.S. Office is the last door on the left.
• Puzzle: Inside the S.T.A.R.S. Office, locate the Eagle Statue on a desk. For Claire's A/1st Run, the solution is Bird, Snake, Pot. For Claire's B/2nd Run, the solution is Eagle, Snake, Pigeon.
• Reward: The Eagle Statue will open, revealing the Eagle Medal.
• Action: Secure the Eagle Medal.

Recommended Loadout for Spade Key Run: For Claire, having your Browning HP with some spare ammunition is advisable for the Licker encounter. Alternatively, a few rounds from the Grenade Launcher (Flame Rounds) can quickly dispatch it if you're struggling.

Inserting the Medals into the Goddess Statue

Once you have all three medals – the Unicorn Medal, the Lion Medal, and the Eagle Medal – return to the Main Hall.

• Location: Goddess Statue, Main Hall, RPD 1F.
• Action: Approach the Goddess Statue and interact with its base. You will be prompted to insert the medals.
• Order: The order in which you insert the medals does not matter.
• Result: Upon inserting the third and final medal, the Goddess Statue will rotate, revealing a hidden staircase leading down to the Underground area. This marks your progression out of the initial RPD section.

Important Note: After solving the Goddess Statue puzzle and descending into the Underground, you will not be able to return to the Main Hall or the upper floors of the RPD for a significant portion of the game. Ensure you have collected all desired items, solved any other puzzles, and are prepared to move on before proceeding.
