Understanding Mr. X's Behavior
- Auditory Cues: Listen for his heavy footsteps and the distinctive thudding sound that sals his proximity. The closer he is, the louder and more frequent these sounds will become.
- Visual Cues: When he enters an area, doors will often be violently kicked open. He cannot be permanently killed, only temporarily stunned or evaded.
- Environmental Interaction: Mr. X can destroy certain obstacles, such as walls and doors, opening new pathways but also closing off escape routes.
Evasion and Combat Strategies
- Run, Don't Fight (Usually): In most encounters, your primary goal should be to escape. Conserve your ammunition for when it's absolutely necessary.
- Use the Environment: Duck through low openings, vault over obstacles, and use narrow corridors to break line of sight. He is slower than you and can be outmaneuvered.
