Walkthrough - Cable Car
Welcome to the Cable Car section of our Resident Evil 3: Nemesis guide! This segment can be tricky, so follow these steps carefully to ensure a smooth journey and avoid unnecessary encounters.
Reaching the Cable Car
After navigating the streets and dealing with any lingering threats, your objective is to reach the Cable Car station. This area serves as a crucial transition point in your escape from Raccoon City.
- From the Restaurant Alley, proceed through the door that leads to the Main Street.
- Head straight down the street, keeping an eye out for any zombies that may be lurking. Conserve your ammo if possible; a quick dodge or a well-placed shotgun blast to the head will suffice.
- You'll eventually reach a large, open area with the Cable Car station clearly visible.
Inside the Cable Car Station
Once inside the station, your primary goal is to activate the cable car. However, there are a few important items to collect and a puzzle to solve first.
- Upon entering, immediately look to your right. You'll find a Save Room. It's highly recommended to save your game here and organize your inventory.
- Inside the Save Room, check the locker for some much-needed Handgun Ammo. You might also find a First Aid Spray if you're lucky.
- Exit the Save Room and head towards the main platform. You'll notice the cable car is currently inoperable.
- On the platform, locate the small control panel. Interact with it to discover that it requires a specific part to function.
- Now, head to the back of the station, past the control panel. You'll find a small office.
- Inside the office, on a desk, you'll find the Cable Car Key. Don't miss this!
- Also in the office, check the shelves for a box of Shotgun Shells.
- Return to the control panel on the platform. Use the Cable Car Key on the panel. This will initiate a short sequence.
- The cable car will now be operational. Before boarding, ensure you have sufficient healing items and ammunition, as the next section can be challenging.
Boarding and Departure
With the cable car activated, it's time to make your escape. Be prepared for a brief, tense ride.
- Step onto the cable car platform and enter the car itself.
- Once inside, interact with the controls to start the journey.
- During the ride, be aware that Nemesis may make an appearance. This is a scripted event, and your best course of action is to avoid confrontation if possible. Focus on dodging his attacks and surviving until the car reaches its destination.
- If Nemesis does engage, aim for his head with your most powerful weapon, but remember that escaping is the priority.
- The cable car will eventually arrive at the next area, marking the end of this segment.
