Walkthrough - Park
Welcome to the Park, a deceptively tranquil area that quickly turns into a nightmare. This section will guide you through the initial exploration, key item acquisition, and how to deal with the new threats lurking within.
Entering the Park
Upon entering the Park from the Clock Tower Plaza, you'll find yourself on a winding path. Your immediate goal is to locate the Water Sample and the crucial Fuse. Be prepared for new enemies and environmental puzzles.
- Initial Path: Follow the main path forward. You'll encounter several Drain Deimos. These creatures are fast and can inflict poison. A few shotgun blasts or well-placed handgun shots will take them down.
- Item: Green Herb x2: Look for these herbs near the first bend in the path, often hidden behind some foliage. Combine them for a stronger healing effect.
- Item: Handgun Ammo: Scattered throughout the initial paths, keep an eye out for these vital supplies.
The Pond Area and Water Sample
The path will eventually lead you to a large pond area. This is where you'll find the first key item for progression.
- Pond Shore: As you approach the pond, be wary of Zombies that may shamble out from behind trees. Prioritize headshots or use the Shotgun for crowd control.
- Item: Water Sample: On a small wooden dock or pier extending into the pond, you will find the Water Sample. This is essential for a later puzzle.
- Optional: Grenade Launcher Rounds (Flame): Near the Water Sample, sometimes hidden in a small alcove or behind a bench, you can find a box of Grenade Launcher Rounds (Flame). These are excellent against groups of enemies or tougher foes.
The Small Building and Fuse
After acquiring the Water Sample, head towards the small, dilapidated building located on the far side of the pond. This building holds the next crucial item.
- Approach to Building: Expect more Zombies to appear as you near the building. Consider using a quick dodge or a powerful weapon to clear the path.
- Inside the Building:
- Item: Fuse: The Fuse is located on a workbench or shelf inside this building. It's often illuminated, making it easier to spot.
- Item: First Aid Spray: Check the corners and shelves carefully; a First Aid Spray can often be found here, providing a full heal.
- File: Park Map: On a table or pinned to a wall, you'll find the Park Map. This is invaluable for navigating the rest of the area.
Navigating the Main Park Area
With the Water Sample and Fuse in hand, you can now explore the larger, more open sections of the park. This area is more expansive and introduces new challenges.
- Garden Maze: A portion of the park features a small garden maze. While not overly complex, it can be disorienting.
- Enemies: Expect a few Zombies and potentially a Hunter Gamma (if you've encountered them before) lurking within the hedges. Hunters are deadly; use the Shotgun or Grenade Launcher if you have it.
- Item: Magnum Ammo: In a hidden corner or dead-end of the maze, you can often find precious Magnum Ammo. Save these for bosses or particularly tough enemies.
- Statue Area: Towards the center of the park, you'll find a large statue. This is often a trigger point for enemy encounters.
- Event: Nemesis Encounter (Optional): Depending on your previous actions and the game's randomizer, Nemesis may appear here. If he does, you'll face a "Live Selection" choice.
- Choice 1: Fight: If you choose to fight, be prepared for a tough battle. Use your strongest weapons (Magnum, Grenade Launcher). Aim for his head for critical damage. Reward: Weapon Part (e.g., Shotgun Part A).
- Choice 2: Run: If you choose to run, Nemesis will pursue you for a short distance. This conserves ammo but may lead to more encounters later.
- Item: Herb (Mixed): Often, a mixed herb (Green + Red) can be found near the base of the statue.
- Event: Nemesis Encounter (Optional): Depending on your previous actions and the game's randomizer, Nemesis may appear here. If he does, you'll face a "Live Selection" choice.
Exiting the Park
Once you have the Water Sample and the Fuse, your next destination is the Water Treatment Plant. Look for the exit gate, usually marked on your newly acquired Park Map.
- Final Stretch: The path to the exit may have a few more Zombies or Crows. Crows are annoying but easily dispatched with a single handgun shot.
- Gate Mechanism: The exit gate will require the Fuse to power a mechanism. Insert the Fuse into the control panel to open the gate and proceed to the Water Treatment Plant.
