Walkthrough - Power Station

Welcome to the Power Station, Jill. This area is crucial for restoring power to the city, but it's also teeming with new threats. Be prepared for a mix of puzzles and combat. Conserve your ammunition where possible, as resources can be scarce.

Entering the Power Station

  1. From the main street entrance, head through the large double doors into the Power Station's reception area.
  2. Immediately to your left, you'll find a save point and an Item Box. Use this opportunity to organize your inventory, save your game, and potentially drop off any unnecessary items.
  3. On the desk in this room, pick up the Power Station Map. This will be invaluable for navigating the complex layout.
  4. Proceed through the single door leading into the main generator room.

Generator Room & Fuse Puzzle

The generator room is dark and ominous. You'll need to restore power to proceed.

  • Initial Encounter: As you enter, be wary of two Drain Deimos that will drop from the ceiling. These creatures are fast and can inflict poison. A few shotgun blasts or well-placed handgun shots should dispatch them.
  • Fuse Box Location: Head to the far end of the room, past the large, inactive generators. You'll find a control panel with a missing fuse.
  • Finding the Fuses:
    • Fuse A: In the small office accessible from the generator room (look for a door on the upper walkway), you'll find Fuse A on a desk. Be careful, as a Zombie might be lurking in here.
    • Fuse B: In the lower section of the generator room, accessible via a staircase, you'll find a small storage closet. Inside, on a shelf, is Fuse B. Another Zombie is often present.
  • Restoring Power: Return to the control panel and insert both Fuse A and Fuse B. This will restore partial power to the facility, illuminating some areas and allowing access to others.

Substation and Key Card Retrieval

With some power restored, you can now access the substation area.

  1. Head back to the reception area and take the newly powered elevator down to the substation level.
  2. Substation Corridor: As you exit the elevator, you'll be in a long, dimly lit corridor. Expect to encounter several Zombies here. Consider using your knife or a few handgun rounds to conserve stronger ammo.
  3. Control Room: At the end of the corridor, enter the control room. On the main console, you'll find the Substation Key Card. This is essential for unlocking further areas.
  4. Optional Item: Check the lockers in the control room for some Handgun Ammo or a First Aid Spray.

Ventilation Shaft & Final Power Switch

The Substation Key Card will grant you access to the final area needed to fully restore power.

  • Unlocking the Ventilation Shaft: Return to the main generator room. Locate the locked door on the upper level that requires the Substation Key Card. Use the card to unlock it.
  • Ventilation Shaft Navigation: This area is tight and can be disorienting. Follow the narrow path. You'll likely encounter a few Crow enemies. They are easily dispatched with a single handgun shot or a quick knife slash.
  • Final Power Switch: At the end of the ventilation shaft, you'll find a small room with the main power switch. Activate it.
  • Nemesis Encounter (Choice): As you activate the switch, Nemesis will burst through the wall! You'll be presented with a Live Selection:
    • "Fight Nemesis": Choose this option if you're well-stocked on powerful ammunition (Shotgun, Grenade Launcher) and health items. Defeating Nemesis here will reward you with a special weapon part (e.g., Shotgun Parts A or Grenade Launcher Parts A) and some valuable experience.
    • "Run Away": If your resources are low or you prefer to avoid combat, choose this. You'll need to quickly backtrack through the ventilation shaft and out of the Power Station. Nemesis will pursue you, but you can escape the area without engaging directly.

Regardless of your choice, once the main power is restored, you've completed your objective in the Power Station and can now proceed to the next area of Raccoon City.
