Location: Village Chief's House (Chapter 5)
Bitores Méndez is the imposing village chief and a formidable foe, fought in two distinct phases.
Phase 1: Humanoid Form
Méndez wields a large axe and is slow but powerful. His weak point is his head and the exposed Plaga on his back.
- Attacks: Axe swings, powerful charges.
- Strategy: Keep your distance. Aim for headshots to stun him, then follow up with melee attacks. Use the environment (explosive barrels) to your advantage. Kite him around the room.
Phase 2: Transformed Form
Méndez transforms into a grotesque, centipede-like creature, climbing onto the rafters.
- Attacks: Tentacle swipes, dropping down to attack, spitting corrosive bile.
- Strategy: Your primary target is the exposed Plaga on his back. Use your shotgun or rifle to deal significant damage when he's on the rafters. When he drops down, dodge his attacks and look for openings. Shoot the glowing weak points on the rafters to make him fall.

- Head (Phase 1)
- Exposed Plaga on his back (both phases)
Recommended Weapons:
- Shotgun (W-870 or Riot Gun)
- Rifle (SR M1903 or Stingray)
- Handgun (for headshots and stunning)
- Hand Grenades (for burst damage)
