Arrival and First Encounter

After the unsettling drive, Leon finds himself in a desolate forest. Follow the path until you reach a small, dilapidated house. Inside, you'll encounter your first Ganado. This is a tutorial for basic combat. Aim for the head to stun, then use a melee attack. After dispatching him, search the house for a Handgun Ammo box and a Green Herb. Continue through the forest, picking up any resources you find. You'll eventually come across a dead police officer. Grab his Combat Knife – this is a crucial tool for parrying and close-quarters combat. Proceed to the next area, a small shack, where you'll find a Shotgun Shells box and a Red Herb. Combine the Green and Red Herbs for a more potent healing item. Be wary of the tripwire trap near the exit; disarm it by interacting with it carefully.
