After the events of Chapter 2, Leon and Ashley are separated. Leon wakes up in a small shack near the lake. Your immediate goal is to find a way across the lake. Explore the immediate area for resources. You'll find a Handgun Ammo box and a Green Herb. There's also a Merchant nearby, so take this opportunity to sell any new treasures and upgrade your weapons. You'll need to find Boat Fuel to get the boat working. The fuel is located in a small boathouse further along the shore, guarded by a few Ganados. Be careful of the Ganado with a crossbow. Once you have the fuel, return to the boat and interact with it to start the engine.
