Upon entering the Village Chief's House, you'll trigger a cutscene leading to the boss fight against Bitores Méndez, the village chief. This fight has two distinct phases.
- Phase 1 (Humanoid Form): Méndez is large and wields a powerful axe. He's slow but hits hard. Aim for his head and the exposed Plaga on his back. Use the environment to your advantage, kiting him around the house and shooting explosive barrels. Keep Ashley safe by telling her to hide.
- Phase 2 (Transformed Form): After taking enough damage, Méndez transforms into a grotesque, centipede-like creature. He will climb onto the rafters. Your primary target is the exposed Plaga on his back. Use your shotgun or rifle to deal significant damage. He will periodically drop down to attack, so be ready to dodge or parry. When he's on the rafters, shoot the glowing weak points to make him fall.
- Weakness: Head (Phase 1), exposed Plaga on his back (both phases).
- Reward: After defeating Méndez, you'll receive the False Eye, a key item, and a significant amount of Pesetas.
