While Resident Evil 5 doesn't feature deep character customization in the vein of RPGs, it does offer unlockable outfits for its main protagonists, Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar. These cosmetic changes can add a fresh visual flair to your playthroughs, especially when engaging in cooperative play. Unlocking these outfits often requires dedicated effort and completion of specific in-game challenges.

The primary method for unlocking new outfits is by progressing through the main campa and completing the game. Often, finishing the story on a particular difficulty will unlock a new set of attire for Chris and Sheva. Additionally, certain achievements or in-game milestones might also grant access to unique costumes. For example, collecting all the hidden Medals can sometimes lead to unlocking special outfits. These outfits are purely cosmetic and do not affect gameplay mechanics or character stats, but they offer a fun way to personalize your experience and show off your accomplishments.
