Before confronting the Giant Tentacle, ensure you have the following critical items:

  • Valve Handle: This is absolutely essential. You should have acquired it earlier in the Antarctic Base, typically found in the Snowmobile Storage area or nearby facilities. Without it, you cannot proceed.
  • Healing Items: While you won't be directly fighting the tentacle, it can inflict damage if you're careless. A few First Aid Sprays or Mixed Herbs (Green + Red) are recommended.

  2. Locate the Control Panel

    In the room adjacent to the flooded corridor (the one you just retreated from), you'll find a control panel on the wall. This panel is crucial for draining the water.

  3. Use the Valve Handle

    Approach the control panel. You will notice a missing handle. Use the Valve Handle you acquired earlier on this panel. Once attached, interact with the panel again to activate it.

  4. Drain the Water

    Activating the panel will initiate a sequence that drains the water from the flooded corridor. This is a timed event, and the tentacle will thrash about, but it cannot harm you while the water is draining.

  5. Re-enter the Corridor & Final Blow

    Once the water has completely drained, the Giant Tentacle will be exposed and immobile, flopping uselessly on the ground. It's now vulnerable. Approach the exposed tentacle.
