Throughout the campaign missions, you'll find various Data Logs and Files scattered in hidden corners, offices, and laboratories. These collectibles provide valuable lore about the T-Virus outbreak, Umbrella's experiments, and the fate of Raccoon City's inhabitants. Collecting them often rewards you with bonus XP and Credits.

Tips for finding them:
- Explore thoroughly: Don't just rush through objectives. Check every room, especially those off the main path.
- Look for glowing objects: Data Logs often have a subtle glow, making them easier to spot in dark environments.
- Listen for audio cues: Sometimes, a faint sound effect will play when you are near a collectible.
- Check behind debris: Many are hidden behind destructible objects or in areas that require a slight detour.
- Use Spectre's abilities: Spectre's 'Threat Detector' can sometimes highlight interactive objects, including collectibles, through walls.
There are typically 5-10 data logs per mission. A complete collection will unlock achievements/trophies and provide a deeper understanding of the game's narrative.
While Resident Evil 3 (Remake) utilizes files to flesh out Jill’s personal journey, these data logs emphasize the cold, calculated perspective of Umbrella’s security forces.
Much like the hidden documents in Resident Evil Code: Veronica X, these files expand the series' lore by detailing Umbrella’s clandestine biological research and corporate history.
