Outbreak

The nightmare begins in J's Bar. Your immediate goal is to escape the bar and navigate the infected streets to the Raccoon Police Department (RPD).

  • J's Bar:
    • Initial Actions: As soon as the scenario starts, grab the Handgun and Handgun Ammo from the bar counter. Check the back room for a First Aid Spray.
    • Dealing with Zombies: The initial zombies are slow. Aim for headshots to conserve ammo. If playing as Kevin, his .45 Auto is excellent for quick zombie dispatch.
    • Key Item: The Bar Key is found on the floor near the entrance, often dropped by the first zombie you encounter. Use it to unlock the back door.
  • Raccoon Street:
    • Navigation: Head straight down the street, avoiding or eliminating the scattered zombies. Be wary of the Lickers that may appear later in the scenario, especially near the RPD entrance.
    • Optional Detour (Pharmacy): If you need additional healing items, the Pharmacy (located on the left side of the street) often contains Green Herbs and sometimes a First Aid Spray. Be prepared for a few zombies inside.
    • Reaching the RPD: The main entrance to the RPD is your destination. Interact with the large double doors to proceed.
  • Raccoon Police Department:
    • Main Hall: Upon entering, you'll find the main hall relatively safe initially. Look for a Map of the RPD on the wall.
    • West Office: Head into the West Office. You'll find a Handgun Ammo box and a Green Herb. The W. Office Key is on the desk.
    • Interrogation Room: Use the W. Office Key to access the Interrogation Room. Here, you'll find the Red Gem.
    • East Office: Navigate to the East Office. You'll find another Handgun Ammo box and a Blue Gem.
    • Unlocking the Exit: Combine the Red Gem and Blue Gem to create the Police Emblem. Use this emblem on the main hall's large double doors to unlock the final exit.
    • Final Confrontation: Be prepared for a surge of zombies in the main hall once the emblem is placed. Make a break for the exit!

Below Freezing Point

This scenario takes you to the chilling depths of the Umbrella Research Facility. Expect mutated creatures and environmental hazards.

  • Main Lab Area:
    • Initial Objective: Your primary goal is to restore power to the facility.
    • Power Room Key: The Power Room Key is usually found on a desk in one of the smaller offices adjacent to the main lab.
    • Power Restoration: Head to the Power Room. You'll need to solve a simple puzzle involving flipping switches to restore power. The correct sequence is often indicated by blinking lights or a nearby document.
  • B4F Storage:
    • Key Card: After restoring power, head to B4F Storage. You'll need to find the B4F Key Card, often located on a shelf or desk in this area.
    • Dealing with Hunters: Be extremely cautious of Hunters in this section. Their jump attacks are devastating. Shotguns are highly effective against them.
  • Research Lab B5F:
    • Accessing the Lab: Use the B4F Key Card to access the Research Lab on B5F.
    • V-ACT Zombie: A powerful V-ACT zombie (often referred to as the "Giant Zombie") will appear here. Focus fire on its head. Using explosive rounds or a powerful weapon like the Shotgun is recommended.
    • Antivirus Sample: After defeating the V-ACT zombie, you'll find the Antivirus Sample in the lab.
  • Escape Route:
    • Elevator Access: With the Antivirus Sample, make your way back to the main elevator.
    • Final Boss: The final boss, a mutated G-Type creature, will confront you in the elevator shaft. Utilize the environment to your advantage and aim for its weak points (often the eyes or exposed organs). Explosives are highly effective.

The Hive

Trapped within the Raccoon General Hospital, you'll face not only zombies but also mutated insects and the terrifying Lickers.

  • Reception Area:
    • Initial Items: Grab the Handgun and Handgun Ammo from the reception desk. Check the nearby rooms for Green Herbs.
    • Hospital Map: A Hospital Map can be found on a bulletin board in the main hall.
  • Operating Room:
    • Key Item: Your first objective is to reach the Operating Room. The Operating Room Key is often found in the Staff Room or a nearby office.
    • Leech Man: Be prepared for the Leech Man, a recurring enemy in this scenario. He is resistant to conventional firearms. Using a Chemical Bottle (found in various locations) on him will temporarily stun him, allowing you to escape or deal damage.
  • B3F Morgue:
    • Access: After gaining access to the lower levels, head to the Morgue on B3F.
    • Key Item: The Morgue Key is usually found in the B2F Patient Ward.
    • Puzzle: Inside the Morgue, you'll need to solve a puzzle involving body bags to retrieve the B3F Key Card. The solution often involves moving specific body bags to reveal the card.
  • Sewer System:
    • Navigation: The sewers are dark and infested with giant spiders. Use your flashlight and be prepared for quick combat.
    • Valve Handle: You'll need to find a Valve Handle to drain certain sections of the sewer, allowing access to new areas. This is often located near a broken pipe or a small control room.
  • Final Boss (Giant Leech):
    • Location: The final confrontation takes place in a large sewer chamber.
    • Strategy: The Giant Leech is vulnerable to fire. Look for Flamethrower Fuel or utilize environmental hazards if available. Aim for its exposed mouth when it attacks.

Hellfire

The Apple Inn is ablaze and overrun. This scenario emphasizes speed and environmental awareness as you battle both the infected and the spreading flames.

  • First Floor Lobby:
    • Immediate Danger: The lobby is quickly engulfed in flames. Prioritize finding a path to safety.
    • Fire Extinguisher: A Fire Extinguisher is often found near the reception desk. Use it to clear paths through smaller fires.
    • Key Item: The Lobby Key is usually on the reception desk or dropped by a nearby zombie.
  • Second Floor Guest Rooms:
    • Navigation: The second floor is a maze of burning rooms. Watch out for collapsing ceilings and exploding gas pipes.
    • Guest Room Key: You'll need to find a Guest Room Key to access certain rooms. These are often found on tables or dressers.
    • Water Valve: Locate the Water Valve to activate the sprinkler system, which will help extinguish some fires and open new paths. This is typically in a maintenance closet or bathroom.
  • Third Floor Rooftop:
    • Escape Route: Your ultimate goal is to reach the rooftop for evacuation.
    • Ladder: You'll need to find a Ladder or a way to extend a retractable ladder to reach the higher sections of the rooftop. This might involve a small puzzle or finding a specific tool.
    • Giant Moth: The rooftop is home to a Giant Moth. This boss is airborne and difficult to hit with standard weapons. Use a powerful weapon like the Shotgun or Grenade Launcher, and aim for its body when it swoops down.
  • Evacuation:
    • Helicopter: Once the Giant Moth is defeated, a helicopter will arrive. Make your way to the designated landing zone to escape.
    • Time Limit: Be aware of the scenario's inherent time limit due to the spreading fire. Don't linger too long in one area.

Decisions, Decisions

This scenario takes you to the Umbrella Research Laboratory, a complex facility filled with advanced bioweapons and challenging puzzles.

  • Main Laboratory:
    • Initial Objective: Your first task is to gain access to the deeper sections of the lab.
    • ID Card: The ID Card is crucial for accessing many locked doors. It's often found in an office or a security booth.
    • Security System: You'll encounter a security system that requires inputting a code or solving a small circuit puzzle to proceed. Look for clues on nearby documents or computer terminals.
  • B4F Bioweapon Storage:
    • Mutated Zombies: This area introduces more aggressive and mutated zombies. Conserve ammo and use powerful weapons when necessary.
    • Key Item: The B4F Key Card is required to open the storage units. It's usually found in a control room overlooking the storage area.
    • Puzzle: You'll need to manipulate environmental controls (e.g., cryogenic chambers, ventilation systems) to clear a path or retrieve a key item.
  • Tyrant Encounter:
    • Recurring Threat: The Tyrant will be a persistent threat throughout this scenario. It's incredibly resilient.
    • Strategy: Avoid direct confrontation if possible. If you must fight, aim for its exposed heart. Explosives and powerful firearms are your best bet. Running and creating distance is often the safest option.
  • Final Boss (Thanatos):
    • Location: The ultimate confrontation takes place in a large, open chamber.
    • Weak Point: Thanatos has a visible weak point, usually an exposed organ. Focus all your firepower on this area.
    • Environmental Hazards: Look for opportunities to use environmental hazards (e.g., falling debris, explosive barrels) to your advantage.
    • Escape: After defeating Thanatos, a short timer will begin. Make a mad dash for the exit before the facility self-destructs!
