These characters often come with unique personal items and abilities, adding new strategic layers to your gameplay. Unlocking them requires specific actions, often tied to completing scenarios under certain conditions or finding hidden items. Unlockable Characters Overview

Each of the main eight characters has an alternate costume, which also functions as an unlockable character with potentially altered starting items. To unlock these, you must complete specific scenarios with an "A" ranking while playing as the corresponding character.

• Kevin Ryman (R.P.D. Uniform):
  • Requirement: Achieve an "A" rank in the "Outbreak" scenario while playing as Kevin Ryman.
  • Strategy: Focus on speed and minimizing damage. Use Kevin's personal handgun effectively. The "Outbreak" scenario is relatively straightforward, so knowing enemy placements and key item locations is crucial for a fast clear.
• Mark Wilkins (Security Guard Uniform):
  • Requirement: Achieve an "A" rank in the "Below Freezing Point" scenario while playing as Mark Wilkins.
  • Strategy: Mark's high defense and powerful axe can be advantageous. Prioritize taking down Hunters quickly. Conserve ammo for critical encounters and utilize his tackle ability to avoid damage.
• George Hamilton (Doctor's Coat):
  • Requirement: Achieve an "A" rank in the "The Hive" scenario while playing as George Hamilton.
  • Strategy: George's medical kit is invaluable here. Focus on healing yourself and teammates to maintain health. Knowing the layout of the hospital and the locations of the Leech Man parts is key for efficiency.

  • Strategy: Cindy's healing herbs are a major asset. Use them strategically to keep the team healthy. The "Hellfire" scenario involves navigating a burning hotel, so quick movement and avoiding unnecessary fights are important.
• David King (Mechanic Uniform):
  • Requirement: Achieve an "A" rank in the "Decisions, Decisions" scenario while playing as David King.
  • Strategy: David's knife and wrench are excellent for close-quarters combat and repairing items. The "Decisions, Decisions" scenario is complex; focus on completing objectives efficiently and using his repair skills on the Generator or other broken mechanisms.
• Alyssa Ashcroft (Reporter Uniform):
  • Requirement: Achieve an "A" rank in the "Outbreak" scenario while playing as Alyssa Ashcroft.
  • Strategy: Alyssa's lockpicking ability is crucial for shortcuts. Prioritize opening locked doors to save time. Her stun gun can be useful for crowd control.
• Yoko Suzuki (Student Uniform):
  • Requirement: Achieve an "A" rank in the "Below Freezing Point" scenario while playing as Yoko Suzuki.
  • Strategy: Yoko's large inventory is a huge advantage. Stock up on healing items and powerful weapons. Her stealth ability can help bypass some enemies, saving time and resources.
• Jim Chapman (Subway Worker Uniform):
  • Requirement: Achieve an "A" rank in "The Hive" scenario while playing as Jim Chapman.
  • Strategy: Jim's coin toss can be a lifesaver for avoiding damage. His "Play Dead" ability is also useful for escaping dangerous situations. Focus on quick navigation and knowing when to use his unique skills to conserve health and time.

Special Character Unlocks

These characters require more specific and often hidden conditions to be met. They are not simply alternate costumes but entirely new playable entities.

• Arnold (Elephant):
  • Requirement: Complete all five scenarios ("Outbreak," "Below Freezing Point," "The Hive," "Hellfire," and "Decisions, Decisions") on any difficulty with an "A" rank for each.
  • Strategy: This is a cumulative effort. Focus on mastering each scenario individually, aiming for efficient clears, minimal damage taken, and completing objectives swiftly. Practice makes perfect.
• Raccoon (Raccoon Mascot):
  • Requirement: Collect all 10 hidden "Raccoon" items across all scenarios. These items are often well-hidden and require thorough exploration.
  • Locations & Strategies:
    • Outbreak: In the Bar, check behind the counter near the back door.
    • Below Freezing Point: In the B3 Laboratory, inside one of the lockers in the small office area.
    • The Hive: In the B4 Morgue, on a gurney in the corner.
    • Hellfire: In the 3F Guest Room (Room 303), on the bedside table.
    • Decisions, Decisions: In the B1 Laboratory, on a shelf in the room with the giant plant.
    • The remaining five Raccoon items are found in the same locations but on the "Hard" difficulty setting. You must collect all 10 across both difficulties.
    • Tip: Play through each scenario multiple times, specifically looking for these small, often easily missed items. They glow faintly, making them slightly easier to spot.
• Mr. Raccoon (Giant Raccoon):
  • Requirement: Complete all five scenarios on "Very Hard" difficulty with an "A" rank for each.
  • Strategy: This is the ultimate challenge. You'll need to have a deep understanding of enemy patterns, item locations, and character abilities. Playing with a coordinated team (if possible) is highly recommended. Conserve all resources, avoid unnecessary combat, and exploit every weakness.
