Firearms are your primary means of defense against the horrors of Sejm Island. Each character has access to different weapon types, and understanding their strengths and weaknesses is key to effective combat. Weapons can be upgraded with parts found throughout the game or purchased in Raid Mode.

- Pistols: Standard sidearms (e.g., P10, MP-AF). Low damage per shot but high fire rate and good accuracy. Excellent for headshots on weaker enemies and conserving ammo. Claire's primary weapon.
- Shotguns: Powerful close-range weapons (e.g., M1897, TAP194). Devastating at close quarters, capable of staggering or knocking down multiple enemies. Ammo is often scarce. Barry's specialty, but Claire also uses them.
- Assault Rifles: Automatic weapons (e.g., AK-7, AR-15). High fire rate and magazine capacity, good for sustained damage against groups or tougher enemies. Claire's preferred automatic weapon.
- Submachine Guns (SMGs): Compact automatic weapons (e.g., MP-AB50). Similar to assault rifles but often with higher fire rates and less accuracy at range. Good for close-to-mid range encounters.
- Rifles: Precision weapons (e.g., S75, M1891/30). High damage per shot and excellent accuracy, ideal for long-range engagements and targeting weak points. Ammo is very limited. Claire can use these.
- Magnums: Extremely powerful handguns (e.g., .220 Python, Anaconda). Highest damage per shot, capable of taking down tough enemies or bosses quickly. Ammo is extremely rare. Barry's signature weapon.
- Launchers: Explosive weapons (e.g., RPG-7). One-shot kill potential against most enemies and bosses. Very rare and usually reserved for critical situations.
Always consider the situation and enemy type when choosing your weapon. Headshots are almost always the most efficient way to deal damage and conserve ammo.
