Resident Evil: Revelations 2 features two distinct endings for the main campaign: a 'Good Ending' and a 'Bad Ending'. The ending you receive is determined by a critical choice made during Claire and Moira's Episode 3 section.

The Critical Choice:
During Episode 3, as Claire and Moira, you will encounter Neil Fisher after his mutation. During this boss fight, Moira will have the opportunity to pick up a gun. The choice you make here is crucial:
- Good Ending Path: If Moira does NOT pick up the gun and instead uses her flashlight to stun Neil, allowing Claire to defeat him, you will be on the path to the Good Ending. This choice reflects Moira's growth and overcoming her trauma.
- Bad Ending Path: If Moira picks up the gun and uses it to shoot Neil, you will be locked into the Bad Ending path. This choice signifies Moira succumbing to her fear and relying on firearms, which she swore off.
Consequences:
- Bad Ending: Leads to a more tragic conclusion for the characters and a less satisfying resolution to the overall story. Barry and Natalia's final boss fight will be against a different, less powerful version of Alex Wesker.
- Good Ending: Leads to a more hopeful and complete resolution, with additional story content and a more challenging final boss fight for Barry and Natalia against the true mutated Alex Wesker. This is generally considered the canonical ending.
If you wish to experience both endings, you will need to replay Episode 3 and make the opposite choice. It's highly recommended to aim for the Good Ending on your first playthrough for the most complete narrative experience.
