At the end of each episode, you receive a score based on several factors. Achieving a high score (S-Rank) unlocks rewards and achievements. To maximize your score, focus on the following:
- Completion Time: The faster you complete the episode, the better. Learn enemy layouts and puzzle solutions to minimize wasted time.
- Enemies Defeated: Try to defeat as many enemies as possible. Headshots and weak point hits contribute to higher combat efficiency.
- Damage Taken: Minimize the damage you receive. Use dodges, quick turns, and cover effectively.
- Accuracy: Maintain a high accuracy percentage. Aim for headshots and weak points to ensure your shots count.
- Retries: Avoid dying and restarting from checkpoints. Each retry negatively impacts your score.
- Hidden Items Found: Collect all Kafka Drawings and Tower Emblems. These significantly boost your exploration score.
- No Continues: Completing an episode without using a continue (dying and choosing to restart from the beginning of the episode) grants a significant bonus.
For S-Ranks, it's often best to play on a lower difficulty first to learn the layout and enemy spawns, then attempt a speedrun on a higher difficulty once you're familiar with the episode. Prioritize efficiency over brute force.
