Raid Mode in Resident Evil: Revelations throws a relentless barrage of enemies at you, and knowing their vulnerabilities is key to survival and efficient clearing. While specific resistances can vary slightly between Raid Mode stages and difficulty levels, some general principles hold true.
Common Enemy Weaknesses
- Oozes (Standard): These basic infected are generally weak to headshots. A well-placed shot with a high-damage weapon like a magnum or shotgun can often dispatch them in one hit. They are also susceptible to fire, making the Flame Grenade a useful tool.
- Hunters: These agile and dangerous foes are notoriously resistant to most ballistic attacks. Their primary weakness lies in their exposed claws and heads. Precise shots with powerful weapons are essential. Using the environment to your advantage, such as luring them into traps or narrow corridors where they can be cornered, is also effective.
- Lickers: Their long tongues are a primary attack vector, but also a point of vulnerability. Aiming for the exposed tongue when they lash out can deal sificant damage. Their exposed brains are also a critical weak point. Shotguns at close range can be devastating.
- Grave Digger: These burrowing monstrosities are best dealt with when they emerge from the ground. Their exposed mouths and heads are critical hit zones. Shotguns and magnums are highly effective. Be prepared to dodge their lunging attacks.
- Shrinking: While not a direct enemy type, the Shrinking effect in certain stages can make even basic Oozes a sificant threat. Prioritize finding ways to counteract this effect or focus on rapid elimination of enemies before they become overwhelming.
Boss Weaknesses
Bosses in Raid Mode often have specific patterns and critical hit zones. For example, many bosses are vulnerable to concentrated fire on their glowing weak points, often revealed after specific attack animations. Always observe their attack patterns and look for these openings. Using elemental weaknesses, if applicable (e.g., fire against certain organic bosses), can also speed up the fight considerably.
