Throughout the Queen Zenobia and other environments, you'll find hidden Handprints. These are small, glowing handprints that can only be revealed by scanning them with your Genesis Scanner. There are a total of 30 Handprints scattered across the game's episodes. Collecting all of them unlocks the 'Research Permit' achievement/trophy and provides a significant bonus to your Genesis scan percentage, making it easier to earn healing items.

Each Handprint is often cleverly hidden, requiring careful observation and thorough exploration. They can be on walls, ceilings, floors, or even inside objects. Make it a habit to scan every nook and cranny, especially in areas that seem unusually quiet or empty. A good strategy is to revisit areas after completing objectives, as new paths or perspectives might reveal previously missed Handprints. There are many online guides that provide exact locations for each Handprint if you're struggling to find them all.
While scanning for handprints requires the specialized Genesis device, Resident Evil 3 (Remake) streamlines its collectible hunting by tasking players with simply destroying hidden Charlie Dolls.
While the Genesis scanner is essential for uncovering handprints in the original game, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 replaces this mechanic with character-specific abilities to spot hidden items.
