The Scagdead is a grotesque, chainsaw-wielding Ooze variant that acts as a recurring mini-boss. It's slow but incredibly powerful, capable of one-shotting you on higher difficulties if you're caught in its chainsaw attack.
Attack Patterns:
- Chainsaw Swing: A wide, powerful swing with its chainsaw arm.
- Charge Attack: Charges forward, attempting to grab and instantly kill you.
- Vomit Attack: Spits corrosive fluid at a distance.
Weak Points & Strategy:
- Weak Point: The exposed, pulsating brain on its shoulder/head.
- Strategy: Maintain distance at all times. The Scagdead is slow, so use this to your advantage. Focus all your fire on its exposed brain. Rifles and Magnums are highly effective. If it charges, use a well-timed dodge to avoid the grab. Shotguns can be used if it gets too close, but prioritize hitting the weak point. Grenades, especially Frag Grenades, can deal significant damage and stun it, creating openings for more shots.
Always keep moving and try to circle the Scagdead to get clear shots at its weak point. If you're low on ammo, try to bait its attacks and then counter-attack during its recovery animation. Don't get greedy with your shots; prioritize survival over raw damage output.
