Achieving an S-Rank in the Base mission requires careful management of the Chainsaw Majini and effective crowd control in tight spaces.
- Chainsaw Majini Management: When the Chainsaw Majini appears, immediately focus fire on it. Use your strongest weapon (e.g., Magnum, Shotgun) and any available grenades. Keep your distance and use the environment to your advantage (e.g., running around obstacles).
- Cephalo Weakness: When a Cephalo emerges, quickly aim for the exposed Plaga. A few well-placed shots will take it down. Be aware of its whip attack, which has a surprising reach.
- Elevated Positions: Utilize the elevated walkways and platforms to gain a tactical advantage over ground-level Majini. This can also provide a safe distance from the Chainsaw Majini.
- Combo Maintenance: The map has several choke points. Use these to funnel enemies and maintain your combo with area-of-effect attacks or well-timed melee chains.
- Item Boxes: There are often item boxes containing powerful weapons or grenades. Remember their locations and grab them when needed, especially before a Chainsaw Majini encounter.
Consider characters with high damage output or good crowd control abilities for this mission. Chris Redfield's shotgun and special attack are particularly effective against the Chainsaw Majini and groups of Majini.
