Achieving an S-Rank in the Castle requires careful enemy prioritization and efficient movement through its multi-level layout.
- Prioritize Ranged Threats: As soon as you spot a Crossbow Ganado, eliminate it. Their bolts can quickly chip away at your health and break your combo.
- Dealing with Armored Ganados: Use your shotgun (if available) to quickly break their armor, then follow up with headshots or melee. If using a pistol, aim for their legs to stun, then melee.
- Garrador Encounter: The Garrador usually appears in the main hall. Lure it into charging, then dodge and shoot the Plaga on its back. Flash Grenades can stun it, allowing for easy shots. Do not engage it head-on.
- Route Optimization: The Castle has multiple levels and rooms. Plan a route that allows you to continuously engage enemies. Don't get stuck in dead ends. The main hall and surrounding corridors are key areas for maintaining your combo.
- Explosive Barrels: Utilize the red explosive barrels scattered throughout the map. Lure groups of enemies near them and shoot the barrel for massive damage and combo extension.
Consider using a character with a strong shotgun or a special attack that can clear groups, like Chris Redfield's Straight Punch, to deal with the armored threats and maintain your combo effectively.
