Labyrinth Creatures
The Labyrinth Creatures are a unique set of collectible items in Resident Evil Village, functioning as a mini-game within the main story. Each creature is found in a specific location and requires a corresponding "Ball" item to be played. Successfully completing a Labyrinth puzzle rewards you with a valuable treasure that can be sold to the Duke for a sificant amount of Lei, aiding in weapon upgrades and supply purchases. There are four Labyrinth puzzles in total, each with increasing difficulty and unique environmental hazards.
To begin a Labyrinth puzzle, you must first locate both the Labyrinth model and its corresponding Ball. Once you have both, interact with the Labyrinth model to place the Ball and begin the challenge. The goal is to guide the Ball from the starting point to the exit by carefully tilting the Labyrinth. Be mindful of obstacles, holes, and moving parts that can cause you to lose the Ball. If you drop the Ball, it will reset to the beginning of the puzzle, but you can try again as many times as needed. Mastering these puzzles requires patience, precision, and a keen eye for the Labyrinth's layout.
Here's a breakdown of each Labyrinth and its associated rewards:
- Castle Dimitrescu Labyrinth:
- Location: Opera Hall, on the second floor balcony.
- Ball Location: Found in the Atelier, after solving the five bells puzzle.
- Reward: Crimson Skull (sells for 8,000 Lei).
- Strategy: This is the simplest Labyrinth. Focus on slow, deliberate tilts to avoid the central holes.
- House Beneviento Labyrinth:
- Location: Outside House Beneviento, near the grave with the "Broken Music Box" item.
- Ball Location: Found in the Doll Workshop, after defeating Donna Beneviento. It's on the table where you find the "Film" item.
- Reward: Burlap Figure (sells for 15,000 Lei).
- Strategy: This Labyrinth introduces moving platforms. Time your tilts to guide the ball across the gaps when the platforms are aled.
- Moreau's Labyrinth:
- Location: In Moreau's Reservoir, inside the windmill that serves as a safe house, after draining the water.
- Ball Location: Found in the Reservoir, after defeating Salvatore Moreau. It's on a small altar near the exit of the boss arena.
- Reward: Mermaid Orb (sells for 20,000 Lei).
- Strategy: This Labyrinth features water hazards and rotating sections. You'll need to carefully navigate the ball through narrow passages and time your movements to avoid falling into the water.
- Heisenberg's Factory Labyrinth:
- Location: In Heisenberg's Factory, on the second floor of the Grinder Shaft, accessible after activating the power.
- Ball Location: Found in the Factory, after defeating Sturm. It's on a workbench in the room immediately after the Sturm boss fight.
- Reward: Mechanical Part (sells for 25,000 Lei).
- Strategy: The most challenging Labyrinth. It has multiple levels, conveyor belts, and magnetic traps. You'll need precise control and quick reactions to guide the ball through this intricate puzzle. Pay close attention to the conveyor belt directions and use the magnetic fields to your advantage.
Collecting all Labyrinth treasures is a great way to earn extra Lei, which is crucial for upgrading your weapons and purchasing essential supplies like First Aid Meds and ammunition, especially on higher difficulties. Don't underestimate the value of these seemingly simple puzzles!
