Rifles
Rifles offer a crucial balance of range, power, and precision, making them indispensable for engaging enemies from a safe distance in Resident Evil Village. While their rate of fire is generally slower than handguns, the increased damage output and accuracy allow you to pick off threats before they can close the gap. Ammunition for rifles, particularly the Sniper Rifle, should be conserved for high-priority targets or situations where precise long-range engagement is critical.
The primary rifle you'll encounter is the F2 Rifle. This weapon excels at headshots, often staggering or even instantly killing weaker enemies with a well-aimed shot. It's particularly effective against Lycans in open areas, allowing you to thin their numbers before they swarm you. Upgrading its power and rate of fire at the Duke's Emporium will sificantly enhance its utility throughout your journey.
- F2 Rifle: Found early in the game, the F2 Rifle is your go-to for long-range engagements. Prioritize upgrading its power and capacity.
- Ammunition Conservation: Rifle ammo is not as plentiful as handgun ammo. Use it strategically for distant threats or powerful enemies.
- Headshots are Key: Always aim for the head to maximize damage and conserve ammunition.
