Efficient resource management is key. Only craft ammo for weapons you actively use. Sell excess crafting materials if you're consistently full on ammo. Prioritize selling combined treasures to the Duke for maximum Lei. Revisit cleared areas for respawned breakable crates and hidden items. In New Game+, consider selling all your starting weapons to the Duke for a massive Lei boost to buy powerful new weapons early on. The Mercenaries mode is also an excellent way to farm CP for infinite ammo unlocks.
