To begin the "Mysterious Map" quest, you first need to acquire the map itself. This crucial item is found within the Castle Dimitrescu area. Specifically, after defeating Lady Dimitrescu and gaining access to the lower levels of the castle, you will eventually reach the Dungeon. The Mysterious Map is located in a small, easily missed room off the main corridor of the Dungeon, often guarded by a few Moroaică. Look for a table or a shelf within this room; the map will be prominently displayed there. Once picked up, it will appear in your inventory under the "Treasures" tab, and the quest will officially begin.
The map itself is a cryptic drawing, hinting at locations rather than explicitly stating them. Your first objective is to interpret these clues. The map points towards a location within the village proper, specifically near the Maiden of War statue in the central village square. Head back to the village from Castle Dimitrescu. As you approach the Maiden of War, observe the surrounding buildings. The map indicates a small, dilapidated house or shack nearby, often with a distinctive feature like a broken roof or a boarded-up window.
Upon locating the correct building, you'll need to find a way inside. This often involves shooting a padlock or breaking through a weak barricade. Once inside, the map's next clue will lead you to a specific spot within the house, usually a loose floorboard or a hidden compartment. Interact with this spot to uncover the first treasure: a sificant cache of Lei and sometimes a valuable crafting component like a Crystal Fragment or a Large Cog. This initial find will often trigger the next stage of the map, revealing further clues or a new section of the drawing. Continue to follow these clues, which will typically lead you to other distinct landmarks or abandoned structures within the village, each hiding its own reward. Always be on the lookout for subtle environmental cues that match the map's drawings.
