Approaching the Castle
After your harrowing escape from the village and the Lycan attack, your next objective is clear: reach Castle Dimitrescu. This section will guide you through the initial approach, ensuring you arrive at the castle gates prepared and with all necessary items. The path to the castle is not without its dangers, so stay vigilant.
As you leave the village proper, you'll find yourself on a winding path leading upwards. Keep an eye out for any remaining Lycans that might be lurking in the bushes or behind obstacles. They often appear in small groups, so be ready to engage or evade. Conserve your ammunition where possible, as the castle holds far greater threats.
You'll soon come across a small, dilapidated shack. Inside, you can often find some useful resources like handgun ammo or a First Aid Med. check all containers and corners. Just beyond this shack, the path opens up, and you'll get your first clear view of the imposing Castle Dimitrescu. Take a moment to appreciate the scale of your next challenge.
Continue along the main path. You'll encounter a few more Lycans, but nothing overwhelming. Your primary goal here is to reach the castle gates safely. There are no major puzzles or hidden areas on this direct route, so focus on combat efficiency and resource management. Once you reach the massive, ornate gates, a cutscene will trigger, marking your official arrival at Castle Dimitrescu.
