Moreau Boss Fight
The Moreau boss fight is a unique encounter that requires both quick reflexes and environmental awareness. Unlike previous bosses, Moreau is less about direct combat and more about manipulating your surroundings to expose his weak point. This fight takes place in a flooded, circular arena with several structures and a central platform.
Your primary objective is to lure Moreau into the path of the large, swinging crane in the center of the arena. When he's exposed, you'll need to shoot the glowing orange sac on his back. Be mindful of his acid attacks, which can cover large areas and inflict sificant damage. Utilize the various pieces of cover around the arena to avoid these projectiles. Keep an eye on the water level; Moreau can submerge and resurface unpredictably. Stock up on shotgun shells and magnum ammo before initiating this fight, as these are highly effective against his weak point.
Strategy:
- Lure and Expose: Moreau will often charge at you. Dodge his attacks and position yourself so that he is between you and the crane.
- Activate the Crane: There's a control panel on the central platform. Interact with it to swing the crane. Time this carefully to hit Moreau.
- Target the Weak Point: Once Moreau is stunned by the crane, his glowing orange sac will be exposed. Unleash your most powerful weapons, focusing on this area.
- Environmental Hazards: Be aware of the acid pools Moreau creates. They linger for a short time and can restrict your movement.
- Health Management: Keep a close eye on your health. If you get hit by his charge or acid, retreat to cover and use First Aid Meds.
Repeat this process until Moreau is defeated. Patience and precise timing are key to overcoming this grotesque foe.
