The Assembly Line

Having successfully navigated the initial factory areas, you'll now find yourself in the heart of Heisenberg's production facility: The Assembly Line. This section is characterized by its conveyor belts, moving parts, and the constant threat of Soldat units being manufactured before your very eyes. Your primary objective here is to disable the main assembly process to clear a path forward and locate key components for your next puzzle.

Upon entering the Assembly Line, immediately take cover behind the large crates to your left. A Soldat Jet will likely be activated and begin patrolling the central conveyor belt. Your best strategy here is to avoid direct confrontation if possible, as ammunition is precious. Observe its patrol pattern. When it moves to the far end of the line, sprint across to the control panel located on the raised platform to your right. Interact with the panel to initiate the shutdown sequence. This will temporarily halt the conveyor belts and disable the Soldat Jet.

With the assembly line temporarily offline, you can now safely explore. Look for a small alcove to the left of where the Soldat Jet was patrolling. Inside, you'll find a Large Gear, which is crucial for a later puzzle. Be quick, as the shutdown sequence is not permanent. As you grab the gear, be prepared for two Soldat Eins units to drop from the ceiling vents. Utilize the now-stationary conveyor belts and machinery for cover, aiming for their glowing red weak points. Once they are dealt with, proceed through the now-accessible doorway at the far end of the assembly line, leading deeper into the factory.
