Yawn is a massive snake that you'll encounter twice in the mansion. Its primary threat is its ability to poison you, which can quickly deplete your health if not cured.
First Encounter:
- Location: Attic, often accessed via the Library.
- Attacks: Bites (causes poison), tail whip.
- Strategy: This encounter is often designed for you to escape rather than fight. If you choose to fight, use your Handgun or Shotgun. Aim for its head. The room is small, making evasion difficult. If poisoned, use a Blue Herb immediately. It's often best to grab the key item (e.g., Death Mask) and retreat.
- Recommended Weapon: Handgun (for quick damage before escape), Shotgun (if attempting to fight).
Second Encounter:
- Location: Attic, after acquiring the Helmet Key.
- Attacks: More aggressive bites (causes poison), faster movement.
- Strategy: This is a mandatory fight. The room is larger, offering more space to maneuver. Use the Shotgun or Magnum if you have it. Aim for its head. Dodge its bites by running in circles around the room. If you get poisoned, use a Blue Herb or a combined Green+Blue Herb. Keep your distance and fire when it's exposed.

- Reward: Access to new areas, often a key item.
