Handgun:

  • Description: Your starting weapon. Weak but has abundant ammo.
  • Usage: Best for standard zombies, especially when aiming for headshots (though inconsistent). Good for conserving stronger ammo.
  • Ammo: Handgun Ammo (found frequently).

Shotgun:

  • Description: Powerful close-range weapon.
  • Usage: Excellent for groups of zombies, Cerberus, and Hunters. Can decapitate zombies at close range.
  • Ammo: Shotgun Shells (less common than Handgun Ammo).

Magnum:

  • Description: The most powerful conventional firearm.
  • Usage: Reserved for bosses and highly dangerous enemies like Hunters or Tyrant.
  • Ammo: .357 Magnum Rounds (very rare).

Grenade Launcher (Jill Only):

  • Description: Versatile weapon with different ammo types.
  • Usage: Explosive Rounds for general damage, Flame Rounds for Plant 42, Acid Rounds for Hunters/Chimeras.
  • Ammo: Grenade Rounds (Explosive, Flame, Acid - found in specific locations).

Combat Knife:

  • Description: Melee weapon.
  • Usage: Last resort, or for finishing off downed zombies to conserve ammo. Chris starts with it.

Rocket Launcher:
