This phase is a relentless assault, requiring both offensive prowess and defensive agility. Follow these steps to conquer the Swirling Vortex:

1. Initial Approach & Current Adaptation:
   • Upon entering, you'll immediately feel the pull of the vortex. Your avatar will be gently pushed and pulled.
   • Strategy: Do not fight the currents constantly. Instead, use short bursts of boost to correct your trajectory and maintain a central position. Over-boosting will drain your Overdrive gauge unnecessarily.
   • Enemies: Initial waves consist of familiar Sphere Drones and Serpent Lines. Prioritize quick lock-ons (8-target) to clear them efficiently.
   • Common Pitfall: Getting too close to the edges of the playable area, where currents are strongest, can push you into incoming fire. Stay towards the center.
2. Introducing the "Vortex Weavers":
   • Approximately 30 seconds into the phase, new enemies, the Vortex Weavers, will appear. These are small, fast-moving entities that dart in and out of the currents, firing rapid, low-damage projectiles.
   • Strategy: These enemies are best dealt with using a single, rapid lock-on burst (1-2 targets) as they appear. Their individual shots are weak, but their numbers can quickly overwhelm your shield.
   • Location: They often emerge from the swirling patterns on the periphery and converge towards your position.
3. Shielded Sentinels & Projectile Barrages:
   • Mid-way through the phase, larger, more resilient enemies, the Shielded Sentinels, will emerge. These enemies have a frontal energy shield that deflects your attacks.
   • Strategy: Wait for the Shielded Sentinel to attack. During its attack animation, its shield briefly drops, revealing a glowing core. This is your window to strike. Use a full 8-target lock-on to destroy it quickly.
   • Projectile Type: They fire slow-moving, homing projectiles. If you can't destroy the Sentinel in time, use your defensive shield (press the designated button) to absorb the incoming fire.
   • Environmental Hazard: Around this time, the vortex currents intensify, occasionally pushing you directly into the path of Sentinel projectiles. Be ready to boost or shield.
