Creating and managing your account is a fundamental step in your Rogue Company experience, enabling you to track your progress, unlock content, and engage in online multiplayer. For PC players, the primary account is typically a Hi-Rez Studios account. If you do not already have one, you will need to visit the Hi-Rez Studios website or follow the prompts within the game's launcher (such as Steam or Epic Games Store) to create a new account. This process usually involves providing an email address, choosing a username, and setting a secure password. This account serves as your central hub for all Hi-Rez games, including Rogue Company, and is crucial for managing your profile and in-game purchases.
Console players will also need to associate their gameplay with an account. While the Hi-Rez account is still central for cross-progression and cross-play features, you will also need to link your console's native account. This means linking your Xbox Live account for Xbox One, your PlayStation Network account for PlayStation 4, or your Nintendo Account for Nintendo Switch. During the initial launch of Rogue Company on your console, or through the game's account management settings, you will be prompted to link these accounts. This is typically done by logging into your respective console account and authorizing the connection with Hi-Rez Studios. This linking ensures that your in-game achievements, unlocks, and progression are recognized across your console and potentially other platforms if you play on PC as well.
The ability to link accounts is particularly important for Rogue Company's cross-play and cross-progression features.
