The Patrol Helicopter is a formidable aerial threat that periodically flies over the map, engaging players it detects. It drops valuable loot upon destruction.
Appearance & Behavior:
- Spawns randomly and patrols the map for a set duration (approx. 15-20 minutes).
- Fires rockets and machine guns at players it identifies as a threat (wearing more than 2 pieces of armor, carrying a gun).
- Will target bases if it detects players inside.
Loot:
- High Quality Metal, Rifle Bodies, SMG Bodies, Tech Trash, M249 (rare).
- Drops 2-4 crates upon destruction.
Strategy:
- Preparation: Requires at least 2-3 players, full Metal Armor, and high-tier weapons (AKs, LR-300s). Bring plenty of 5.56 Rifle Ammo (1000+ per player) and medical supplies.
- Location: Lure it to an open area away from your main base, or fight it from a fortified position with good cover.
- Engagement: Focus fire on the tail rotor first, as destroying it will cause the helicopter to spin uncontrollably, making it easier to hit.
- Cover: Utilize natural cover (large rocks, trees) or player-built structures to avoid its rockets and machine gun fire.
- Healing: Have one player dedicated to healing or ensure everyone carries enough medical syringes.
- Looting: Once destroyed, quickly loot the crates as other players will be drawn to the crash site.
Fighting the Patrol Helicopter is a high-risk, high-reward endeavor. It's a major server event that often leads to intense PvP as other players try to steal the loot.
