The Tunnel Dweller is a unique, heavily armored scientist found deep within the Military Tunnels. It acts as a mini-boss, guarding a valuable Red Card puzzle.

Appearance & Behavior:

  • A large, heavily armored scientist with a powerful weapon (often an M249 or Shotgun).
  • Slow-moving but extremely durable and deals high damage.
  • Found in a specific, often dark, section of the Military Tunnels.

Loot:

  • High-tier weapon (M249, LR-300, MP5), ammunition, HQM, Tech Trash.
  • Guards access to the Red Card puzzle room.

Strategy:

  1. Preparation: Requires at least 2 players, full Metal Armor, and high-tier weapons (AKs, MP5s, Shotguns). Bring plenty of ammunition and medical supplies.
  2. Engagement: The Tunnel Dweller has a lot of health. Focus fire on its head for critical damage.
  3. Kiting: use the tight corridors of the Military Tunnels to your advantage. Kite the Dweller around corners, peeking out to shoot.
  4. Explosives: Satchel Charges or C4 can be effective if you can get them to stick, but it's risky.
  5. Traps: Shotgun traps can be placed in its patrol path for extra damage.
  6. PvP Awareness: Other players might be attempting the tunnels, so be aware of your surroundings even during the fight.

Defeating the Tunnel Dweller is a significant hurdle in accessing the Military Tunnels' best loot. It requires patience, good aim, and tactical movement.
