Armor & Protection
The Rust King employs several weapon-based attacks that can be avoided with proper positioning. His "Armament Barrage" involves gathering weapons overhead and sending them forward in a large AoE. This attack deals tremendous damage, but can be dodged by getting behind or to his flank once he commits to gathering weapons.
When The Rust King's health is reduced to around 60%, he will begin using "Seven Sword Strike" and "Line of Weapons" in addition to the "Armament Barrage." The "Seven Sword Strike" involves a ray of seven swords, while the "Line of Weapons" sends plummeting weapons in a line, dealing heavy damage. Both can be avoided by staying close and dodging.
Upon further wounding (around 30% health), The Rust King enhances his "Armament Barrage" by lashing out with a whip before an even bigger barrage of weapons. The same "hug-and-dodge" strategy remains effective, though you might take a minor hit from the whip if slow. Avoiding the weapon barrage is key to survival.
- Armament Barrage: The Rust King gathers weapons overhead and unleashes a large AoE attack. Avoid by getting behind or to his flank.
- Seven Sword Strike: A ray of seven swords hurled by The Rust King.
- Line of Weapons: Weapons plummet in a line, dealing heavy damage.
- Enhanced Armament Barrage: At 30% health, The Rust King adds a whip lash before a larger weapon barrage. The "hug-and-dodge" strategy still works.
