Oil Rigs are unique offshore monuments that offer excellent loot but are heavily contested and require a boat or helicopter to access. They feature waves of scientists and a locked crate event.
Loot:
- High-tier crates (military, elite).
- Red Card spawn (Large Oil Rig only).
- Locked Crate (requires 15 minutes to unlock after activating, spawns multiple waves of scientists).
Strategy:
- Access: Use a Rowboat (from fishing villages or crafted) or a Minicopter.
- Scientists: Clear waves of scientists as you progress. They are heavily armed.
- Locked Crate: Once you activate the locked crate, prepare for a sustained fight against multiple waves of scientists. This is also when other players will likely attempt to contest the rig.
- Escape: Plan your escape route. Boats can be destroyed, and helicopters can be shot down.
Oil Rigs are high-risk, high-reward activities. They are excellent for acquiring high-tier components and weapons, but expect intense PvP.
