A strong base is your best defense. Go beyond the basics with these techniques:
- Honeycombing: Build extra layers of walls and foundations around your core. This forces raiders to use more explosives.
- Air Locks: Multiple doors in a row create an airlock, preventing raiders from running straight into your base if they breach one door.
- External TC (Tool Cupboard): Place a small, separate 1x1 base with a TC outside your main base. This prevents enemies from building close to your main base and can act as a distraction.
- Drop Boxes/Vending Machines: Use these to safely transfer items in and out of your base without opening a main door.
- Hidden Stashes: Bury small stashes (crafted with 10 wood) near your base or in strategic locations to hide emergency gear or valuable blueprints.
- Compound Walls: Build High External Stone Walls around your base to create a secure compound, adding another layer of defense.
- Trap Placement: Strategically place Shotgun Traps, Flame Turrets, and Land Mines in unexpected locations within your base or compound.
A well-designed base is a puzzle for raiders. Make it as expensive and time-consuming as possible to break into.
