Efficiently farming Salt (experience) and Gold is crucial for leveling up and purchasing items. Early game, repeatedly clearing areas with easily defeated enemies near a Sanctuary is effective. Later, areas like the Ziggurat of Dust and Salt Alkymancery offer high Salt yields from their powerful enemies. Equipping the Charred Doll (increases Salt gain) or the Ring of the Iron Will (increases item discovery, leading to more sellable items) can boost your farming efficiency. For Gold, selling unwanted equipment and crafting materials to merchants is a primary source. Some enemies also drop significant amounts of Gold. Consider using a Stone Merchant at your Sanctuary to easily sell items. Repeatedly defeating bosses in New Game+ also provides substantial Salt and Gold. Identify areas where you can quickly defeat groups of enemies without taking too much damage, and make those your farming spots.
