All Crafting Recipes

The crafting system in Salt and Sanctuary allows you to imbue your weapons and armor with powerful enhancements, transforming ordinary gear into potent tools for survival. To craft, you'll need to visit a Blacksmith, typically found at various Sanctuaries throughout the world. The core of crafting lies in obtaining specific crafting materials and the appropriate "Stone" type that dictates the kind of upgrade you can perform.

Crafting Materials

Materials are dropped by enemies, found in chests, or sometimes purchased from merchants. Key materials include:

• Iron: Common material, often dropped by basic humanoid enemies.
• Steel: A step up from Iron, found on more challenging foes.
• Obsidian: A rare and potent material, crucial for high-tier upgrades.
• Bone: Used for specific weapon types and some armor.
• Flesh: Similar to Bone, used in specific crafting recipes.
• Salt: While primarily your currency and experience, certain rare recipes might incorporate it.

Upgrade Stones

These stones are the catalysts for crafting and determine the elemental or stat-based properties of your upgrades. They are often found in specific areas or dropped by certain enemy types.

• Sharpening Stone: Increases physical attack power.
• Fire Stone: Adds fire damage and resistance.
• Lightning Stone: Adds lightning damage and resistance.
• Ice Stone: Adds ice damage and resistance.
• Magic Stone: Adds magic damage and resistance.
• Defense Stone: Increases defensive capabilities.

The Crafting Process

To craft, approach a Blacksmith and select the "Craft" option. You will see a list of available recipes based on the items you possess. Select the item you wish to upgrade, and then choose the desired upgrade path using the appropriate Stone and materials. Each upgrade consumes the materials and the Stone, permanently altering your gear. Be mindful that some upgrades are mutually exclusive; for example, a weapon cannot be both Fire and Lightning enchanted simultaneously. Experiment with different combinations to find the builds that best suit your playstyle and the challenges ahead.
