Upon entering the Stone Roots from Bandit's Pass, you'll immediately notice the verticality. This area requires extensive use of the Vertigo Brand (wall jump) to navigate. Enemies include the Fungal Pede, which can inflict poison, and the Stone Guardian, a slow but powerful enemy. Your first priority should be to find the Sanctuary, which is usually located by heading downwards and exploring side paths. The Stone Roots are a maze of interconnected caverns, so pay attention to your surroundings. There are many hidden ledges and secret passages that lead to valuable items and shortcuts. The main path will eventually lead you to the Kraeken Wyrm boss arena. After defeating the Wyrm, you'll gain the Leapfrog Brand, allowing you to perform a mid-air jump, opening up even more exploration possibilities within the Stone Roots and previous areas. backtrack and use your new brand to find previously inaccessible secrets.
