Amakusa is a recurring final boss in many Samurai Shodown titles, known for his projectile spam, teleportation, and powerful magical attacks. He often floats, making some ground-based attacks whiff. Phases: Amakusa typically has two phases. In his first phase, he relies heavily on projectiles and teleportation. In his second phase (usually below 50% health), he becomes more aggressive, uses more powerful versions of his special moves, and might gain temporary invincibility or increased damage. Weaknesses: Amakusa is vulnerable to rushdown characters who can close the distance quickly and apply pressure. His recovery after certain large projectiles or teleportation can be punished. Strategy: The key to defeating Amakusa is to manage his projectiles. Either jump over them and punish his recovery, or use character-specific moves that can negate or pass through projectiles. When he teleports, anticipate where he will reappear and be ready to block or counter. Once you get close, apply relentless pressure to prevent him from setting up his zoning game. Save your Rage Explosion for a guaranteed Lightning Blade during his second phase when he's most dangerous. Disarming him can be difficult due to his evasiveness, but if successful, it significantly reduces his projectile threat.
