Locate a suitable oil node and establish an outpost. This will involve building Oil Extractors, Refineries, and potentially a power plant (Coal Generators are often a good choice here). Transporting crude oil or processed products back to your main base will require careful planning, either via long conveyor belts or, more efficiently, using Trucks or Trains later on.
