Boss Guides
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice features challenging boss encounters, each requiring unique strategies for victory. The game's intricate mechanics can be daunting for newcomers, but detailed guides can help players of all levels master combat techniques and overcome difficult adversaries.
- Juzou the Drunkard: This mini-boss fight is best approached by thinning out surrounding enemies with stealth. Approach Juzou from behind for a stealth deathblow to simplify the fight. He attacks with Poison, which can be cured with Antidote Powder. Juzou does not deflect, and Shurikens are effective against him. Dodge his powerful grab attack to the side, as dodging backward is insufficient. Defeating him rewards 1x Unrefined Sake, 1x Prayer Beads, and 212 XP. Nogami Gensai may assist if spoken to earlier.
- Lady Butterfly: This is a two-phase boss fight that demands a defensive playstyle. Avoid spamming attacks. During the first phase, most of her attacks can be deflected. When she leaps on wires, use the Loaded Kunai to knock her out of the air.
- General Strategy for Mini-Bosses: The primary challenge with mini-bosses often lies with nearby enemy groups. Eliminating these smaller threats first, or using stealth to land a critical hit, can significantly ease the fight. Some mini-bosses allow for stealth deathblows from behind or above, effectively removing one of their life bars before direct combat.
