Unlocking and Using Shinobi Arts
Shinobi Arts are powerful combat skills that Sekiro can learn and utilize, adding a new layer of offensive and defensive capabilities to his repertoire. These arts are unlocked through the Skill Tree and consume Spirit Emblems to perform, making their use a strategic decision in combat.
To learn Shinobi Arts, you must first acquire Skill Points, which are earned by defeating enemies and bosses, or by finding specific items. Once you have enough Skill Points, you can visit a Sculptor's Idol and access the Skill Tree. The Shinobi Arts are typically found in their own dedicated section of the tree. Some of the early and essential Shinobi Arts include Whirlwind Slash, which allows Sekiro to perform a wide-reaching spinning attack, and Ichimonji, a powerful overhead strike that deals significant Posture damage to enemies and recovers Sekiro's own Posture.
Using Shinobi Arts requires Spirit Emblems, a limited resource that can be replenished by resting at a Sculptor's Idol or by using specific consumable items. Therefore, it's important to choose the right moment to deploy these powerful skills, especially during boss fights where Spirit Emblems might be better saved for prosthetic tool usage. Experimenting with different Shinobi Arts and understanding their utility in various combat scenarios is key to maximizing Sekiro's combat potential.
