Dilapidated Temple
The Dilapidated Temple serves as Sekiro's primary hub area and a safe haven for the player. It's here that Sekiro awakens after his initial defeat and where he meets key allies like the Sculptor, Emma, and Hanbei the Undying. The temple offers a range of essential services crucial for character progression, including prosthetic tool upgrades, skill point allocation, combat training, and healing gourd enhancements. It also acts as a central point for fast travel, allowing players to quickly return from anywhere in the world using a Homeward Idol or by resting at any Sculptor's Idol.
Upon arriving at the Dilapidated Temple, players will find the Sculptor, who can attach and upgrade prosthetic tools using Scrap Iron and Sen. Resting at the Sculptor's Idol allows players to spend Skill Points earned from combat to unlock new abilities in various skill trees. Emma, the healer, can upgrade the Wolf's Healing Gourd using Gourd Seeds, increasing its effectiveness. Hanbei the Undying offers combat training, allowing players to practice their moves and learn new techniques without the risk of permanent death. The temple also houses an Offering Box, where You can pay Sen to recover lost items. As the game progresses, other NPCs and merchants, like Fujioka the Info Broker, may also visit the temple, offering additional services and information. The Dilapidated Temple is your constant base of operations, vital for preparing for the challenges ahead.
