Bandit (Fire Bow and Katana)
The Bandit wielding a fire bow and katana presents a dual threat in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, combining ranged harassment with close-quarters aggression. These enemies are often found in groups, making them a significant obstacle.
The fire bow allows these bandits to rain down flaming arrows from a distance, forcing Sekiro to constantly be on the move or find cover. These arrows can inflict the Burn status effect, which deals continuous damage over time. Once Sekiro closes the distance, the bandit will switch to their katana, employing a series of quick slashes and thrusts.
To counter the fire bow, prioritize closing the gap quickly or using the environment for cover. Deflecting the flaming arrows can be risky due to the burn damage, so dodging is often a safer option. Once in melee range, the katana combat is similar to other bandit-type enemies, requiring precise deflections and dodges.
These bandits are often encountered in areas like the Hirata Estate or Ashina Outskirts. be wary of their combined attack patterns. Using prosthetic tools like the Loaded Shuriken to interrupt their bow attacks or the Firecrackers to stun them before they can switch to their katana can be highly effective. Defeating them often yields valuable items like Sen and crafting materials.
